Everyone one out there is trying to help clients solve their problems because this is what adds value to them and you cannot be paid for an unqualified work. The work has to be done right and meet client's specification as this is the only thing that matters to him. In short, qualities or characters are essential delicacies of a designer's lifestyle that prove him out to be the one who deserves an opportunity to solve a client's problem. It does not matter how skilled a person is in his abilities to solve a problem but the way and how he solves it also matters a lot. I experienced something before where I was given a project and that is to say a flyer for social media communication. Offer has been accepted and the work has began and samples were produced after in-depth planning and the work was sent to the client. The comment about the work was not positive and changes to work were demanded and I accepted to do so but client asked for the service of another designer who finally did the work. In all this, the awardee of project did not make me aware the project has been transferred to another person and he just created a suspense.
Why do clients behave strange at times?
The truth is a designer must cope with a client's behavior rather than been repulsive towards a client because a client holds what you want and how you will get that depends on what you do. It will be a very challenging moment for a designer to be totally upset with a client's behavior but we want to get a number of tips to arrest these issues that concern freelancers, designers and others that it concerns. You can't manage someone if you can't manage yourself to stay disciplined to achieve a goal for it is only by focus and decisive action that a result can be attained.

There is work on every determined designer to be successful and we cannot deny the essence and value embedded in these kind of decisions that have to be taken for success.
Get a schedule of your top most projects to complete and other equally activities to undertake and make conscious efforts to plan and make amends when the need comes. You can't be too firm or too strict in your decision or assertions and expect the results you want, you need to adapt and change a number of things because you do not know it all and due to this, be prepared to change your plans and decisions in the future to meet requirements of the future. If everyday you go for a fitness exercise and here comes a client who wants a work done maybe at the time you normally go for fitness exercise, what will be your plan? Get this fact that all that you do today have the potential of affecting your future progress or journey. In this case, you have to seriously skip fitness this time and get the job done. You cannot prioritize fitness this time over a client because the success of you venture tomorrow has a connection to present day actions and inactions.
People won't be the way you want them to be but understanding how they behave and how to live peacefully with them in tolerance and patience is the key thing here for us as designers because our success is a mirage without association with people who need our services. Be patient anytime a client proves to be arrogant and difficult, just try your best to cope and manage the whole thing and you will get to see the value clients will bestow on you because you value them first and that is what they want.
As a designer, get to validate a client's decision on a project to help protect you and your work. For instance, in the process of planning to design a solution for someone, it comes to a point where the designer invites the client to see maybe a prototype of what the final work will look like in order to get the consent of client before finally completing the work. Devise a means to make the statements or the decision of a client at this stage as an evidence so that when a client says something contradictory after project has been completed, the designer can be exonerated because he has an evidence.

In fact, bunch of designers out there but different targets and motivations so get to know what you stand for and work for it bearing in mind that it aren't going to be smooth just because you do something different but it will be successful if what you do is what brings the solution to the problems of the many. Design as can be defined or characterized from many sources is purpose-driven which means a designer does not do what he thinks is nice or attractive but what he has thoroughly researched is able to solve a problem.
