This tree is found in almost all regions in Ghana and most especially in Volta Region and in areas like Agbozume,  and many other villages in the region just to mention but a few.  The sale of coconut either fresh or dry has been the work of some people as it is very lucrative. Some of them are transported from the villages where they are abundant to cities where it is a bit scarce. The products of this tree are numerous of which I will be elaborating on some . Its unripe fruit which is unripe coconut is peeled and drank. The unripe coconut is taken as medicine for fever and for the nourishment of the body. The dried coconut is used in so many ways.
