In the education of a child at a very young age, he or she is taught how to write his/her name. It then proceeds to teach the child how to write about him/herself in a more detailed but simple way in a gradual manner.    My name is John Doe Elka. I am ten years old and the name of my father is Mr. Godson Elka and my mother's name is Mrs. Mary Elka. My father works as a farmer and my mother is a trader in clothes. I have two siblings and I am the second born of my parents. I am fair in complexion with a round head, small eyes and I am 4 feet in height. 

The name of my school is Living Rock Preparatory School in Sunyani. I am a Christian and worship at Global Evangelical Church. 

in school, my best subjects of study are Mathematics and English Language and my class teacher's name is Mr. Robert Vavage. my favorite food is akple with okro stew prepared with fried chicken and smoked sea fish. 

   I like watching the news and reading newspapers but I dislike watching football. My hobby is designing puzzles for my friends to solve.

An essay like the above is a very good one for someone who is in basic school because it helps to write in a simple manner about the self. Writing myself in secondary school or the tertiary is another level because this kind has to describe you as a person in detail and with a proficient language. Imagine an employer who wants a description of you, you dare not write anything but something that gives a vivid description of you as a person. This kind starts with the full discovery of the self.
