To make this food product, you need only a few ingredients that are very affordable and easily accessible anyway anytime. What are these ingredients?

Spring rolls

Ingredients for making spring rolls:
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Cooking oil
  • Carrot
  • Cabbage
  • Spring onions
  • Bell-shaped pepper and other vegetables of your choice.

For a simple spring rolls preparation, the above ingredients are great but in case you want a more richer kind where you can even add meat or corned beef, that is really going to be great so try it out.

Flour
Flour is the main constituent of the whole thing and so it can't be left out.

➤The Process

Pour flour into a bowl, add salt and sugar then mix with water into an even consistency to form a paste. For even easier mixing, dissolve salt and sugar in water and then use the solution to mix the flour.
As shown below, the hand is normally used for mixing it and it aids mix it very well avoiding the presence of lumps.

The stage of flour preparation for the process

In mixing these ingredients, there must be a level or restriction to the amount of water that is added in order for the paste or mixture not to become almost watery. This can disrupt a good preparation process. Water should always be added bit by bit as and when it is required because too much water will make the whole thing become non-workable.

The next thing after properly mixing these ingredients is to get a flat pan unto a heat source so that it gets heated. The heat has to be moderate to prevent over heating or burning of the smeared paste.

Now, a small amount of the paste is smeared in the pan which is at this moment still on heat.

The heat causes the paste in the pan to partially cook or kind of get solidified a bit and once one side is done, the other side can be turned so that both sides are well acted upon by the heat. Continue this process of smearing paste in the pan until the entire paste in the bowl is finished.

This is how the heated paste becomes and something good is already starting to show.

The process still continues, and at this stage the vegetables at hand are neatly washed and cut into very small pieces and mixed together. Once the vegetables are mixed and preferably fish or meat also added, proceed to pick flat slabs and pour some amount of the mixed vegetables unto them. After adding the vegetables, fold the slabs into a spring roll.
