The Gospel according to Matthew
Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When
his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she
was found to be with a child from the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:20b
“Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your
wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

“I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is
coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He

John 1:32

The Letter of Paul to The Romans
Romans 1:4
and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to
the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our
Lord,
Romans 2:29
But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of
the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but
from God.
Romans 5:5
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has
been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ
Jesus from the law of sin and death.

in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on
the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the
mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in
fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of
God does not belong to him.
Romans 8:10
But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because
of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Romans 8:11
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells
in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your
mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:13
For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if
by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Romans 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of
God.
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back
into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we
cry, “Abba! Father!”
Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself bears witness
with our spirit that we are children of God,

The First Letter of Paul to The Corinthians
1 Corinthians 2:4

God.

For who knows a person’s thoughts

spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand

The natural person does not

Will not the ministry of the
Spirit have even more glory?

The Letter of Paul to The Galatians
Galatians 3:2
Let me ask you only this: Did you
receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

Are you so foolish? Having began
by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
Galatians 3:5
Does he who supplies the Spirit
to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing
with faith –

But just as at that time he who
was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the

Ephesians 1:13

sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
The First Letter of Paul to Timothy
1 Timothy 3:16
Great indeed, we confess, is the
mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken
up in glory.
1 Timothy 4:1
