Luke 2:25-27[25; Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26; And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Is it a matter of concern to live a separate life? Must we have an authority that rules us as humans? What difference is it when we offer ourselves to be ruled by a power that is higher than us?
I want to answer some of these questions that have bothered you for a long by the help of the spirit of God.
Reading books and writings on righteousness and holiness, it is explicit that the people the Holy Spirit fills or rests upon are always devout in the sight of God. People today now understand holiness differently in Christ that because Jesus Christ died for our sins, there is no effort that God requires on our side to perfect this holiness. I believe Jesus Christ lived a life void of blame and God's word confirms it: "And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." Philippians 2:8. So, we that follow him must also do the same. If you say by sole dependency on Christ and the Holy Spirit we can live a righteous life, that is understandable. But to say that we have nothing to do to be blameless for God I think will be a deception. Jesus Christ taught that whoever wants to follow him must deny him or herself. If we continue to live without the holiness of God and hide behind the death of Christ, then what have we denied or left behind to follow Christ? Jesus was once asked by His disciples what it will profit as they have left everything to follow Him. It must cost us to follow Him because the things that make us happy are not necessarily the ones God desires for His children.
Indeed, I strongly believe that there is a distinction between Christian life and worldly life. What do people see before concluding on a particular person that he or she is a true Christian or not? I hardly understand how we get to abandon the work we must do on our end as followers of the world's savior. That is why we do not get to see the change that we want to see in the world because we are not ready to live anything behind on account of Christ.
Luke 3: 38 "Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father'. For God is able I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham."
In fact, it is a matter of importance and concern that we keep repentance and salvation in Christ Jesus to bear good fruits. Before Abraham was said to be the father of nations, we can clearly see the account of the Bible about him as a God-fearing man who obeys every word of God. We leave out the prize people of God of old paid for righteousness or separation unto God. "For I tell you God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham". Well, with a deep revelation by the spirit of God, it is scary with careful consideration of the above from Luke 3: 8b. Without any further emphasis, you should be convinced and strongly convicted that living as a Christ-like disciple is not only a confession of Him but it comes with a cost.
1 Thessalonians 4:7
For God has not called us for impurity but in holiness. ESV
If we then that claim to be God's and have His spirit in us still embody worldly trends, then where is our distinct identity? A call to wake up from our slumber and pursue true Christianity.
2 Corinthians 5: 17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Further, the text above clearly says it all. A transformation that is clear for all to see is a confirmation even among people that a change has come and not only by confessional word.
The new life of you is the light that shines forth for people to see and glorify God in heaven. This is the only way we can impact our world for God.
Stay blessed.
