Late night eating is a no no advice from health experts due to complications that can result after. But has people heeded to this advice?
It will surprise you that amidst all the shouting and education about late night eating, we find it difficult keeping this discipline. When you want to find out why, then it will be disclosed that many reasons are the causative factors why it is hard keeping this discipline.
Quite a few times I have tried completing meals early enough but it working into the night kind of makes it hard maintaining such a discipline. All because after a hard day's work and strive, something must be ingested to generate some energy. It seems funny but it is the truth shared by many who find it hard to prevent late night eating.

Akple also called in some cases as banku is an energy-giving food that contains carbohydrate as the major food nutrient.
As a farmer, when you eat this food whether in the morning before setting out to farm or in the afternoon, you are assured of energy to work hard. Other workers or professionals can also vouch for the fact that this food provides great energy to work. However, a person whose work is done mostly at a sitting position is likely to feel extremely sleepy while at work in the aftermath of consuming heavy akple or banku. Banku lovers will tell you many reasons why it isn't mush of a worry about the time the meal is consumed.
The digestion of akple
Carbohydrate foods begin their digestion right from the mouth as it is mixes with saliva and this is what happens with akple. Eating akple or banku late in the night isn't a good eating habit because the food might not be completely digesting since after eating the next thing is sleep. Even though if it does digest, what happens to the energy produced? It will be left unused and as they this continues, it can result in sugar level rising among other complications. Consumers of akple late at night will agree that at times when you wake up in the morning, your stomach feels full and one can even feel it that the food hasn't digested. 
It is best to eat it in the morning and afternoon to be sure that no problem is encountered afterwards.

Now, if it has been your serious habit of eating a late in the night especially akple, it is not too late to desist from such a habit to keep one self healthy from some of these repurcation.
