In the Ghanaian community and bringing it down to the Ewes, names are specifically given for different reasons. The main reason why names among this tribe are never taken for granted is that the names normally have a direct impact on the bearers. Names are given for a reason since they reflect or have an influence on the people to whom they are given. All names have meanings they represent and Ghanaian names and specifically Ewe names are not an exception.  You will be enlightened on some of these Ewe names and their various meanings. In fact, this article gives you an idea of what some Ewe names mean. Names are like organic components of the people per the people's beliefs.    We believe that individuals become the name they are given and for this reason, names are chosen carefully before being given to individuals. Some of the names are just given to show the day of the week a person is born whereas some show the circumstances around a person's birth. Below are some nam...

Professionalize Your Drawing Easily With These Tricks.

Drawing like any other skill requires techniques and principles for maximum efficiency and productivity. Think of a carpenter making a chair without any calculation or marking of the planks. He just uses his optics to judge and cut the wood. He will not make any proper chair. Techniques and principles are truly foundational pre-requisite skills for drawing. Some students of drawing find it difficult to draw freely with the hand due to improper positioning of the hand or the drawing tool. They assume it does not make use of simple techniques or secrets. The time you begin to carefully experiment with how different handling positions of the drawing tools you use affect your drawing, that is the period you will begin to make informed decisions on how to handle your drawing aids.
I have researched and illustrated three solid but simple steps here for cute drawing. Try them and observe a change in your confidence in drawing. These steps might look too simple but their potential of improving your drawing is something that will take you by surprise.

Ready with the tools and materials?
If the tool for your drawing is a pencil, sharpen it and expose the pencil lead to about 1/2 inch.

Also, the tip of the lead to about 1/3 of the pencil should be partially sharpened. The sharpening must be done slowly to make a smooth surface that will not be touching the paper as progression is attained in the drawing. This provides you with ease to draw and shade comfortably.

1. Hold the middle of the pencil.

When the middle of the pencil is gripped, you get the room to comfortably draw smoothly. This is one thing that most amateur drawing students are not aware of. Some students have the potential for good drawings but sharpening the pencil improperly and improper holding of it retards that excellence in drawing. At first, it might feel uncomfortable to do but with continuous practice, you get to feel like a professional because you can create amazing strokes and marks just because of how you hold the pencil.

2. Shade with pencil lead flat on paper

There are so many techniques used in shading. These different shading techniques give special effects. Shading therefore to give realism needs a special style to create a specially needed effect. When trying to define the true nature of objects, shade along the contours or lines that form the basis of the figure or object. Paying keen attention to this makes it easy to shade objects as seen and give them form as well. The pencil's lead should be placed flat on the paper when shading(mass shading).  It gives uniform tones and helps cover a large area quickly so that, you get to save time and energy as well. Having no idea about this and just shading without any idea or information of the kind of mood you intend to create will ruin you drawing.

3. Grip pencil firm for writing

The rules stated earlier do not really apply to writing as such. When writing, your hand should be near the pencil lead. Makes you write well with rigidity and firmness.

In sum, practice these skills to change the look of your drawings. Try to incorporate the knowledge you acquire into practicality and be conscious as you work. Drawing is actually fun and brings excitement if done with the proper notion or motivation. Draw and draw, you might bring hidden ideas in your subconscious memory into the conscious part of your memory. This is how some illustrations are created and one cannot deduce the source of those wonderful ideas. Some are gotten from playful use of the pencil and they become useful for lots of works in especially the entertainment certain. Always remember that, no drawing is actually a poor or horrible drawing but knowing the purpose for which a drawing is for informs how it is made. Knowing this fact, never despise the way you draw because that one is also useful somewhere, you just have to know the purpose for which you do a particular drawing and doing it to fit that purpose.
